Yamaha VF150
Overview
Yamaha’s VMAX SHO (Super High Output) four-stroke engines have been designed to be the lightest, fastest and smartest high-performance engines on the market. Originally developed for the US Tournament Bass Boat market, these extremely powerful motors are ideally suited for skiing, boat racing and a whole range of other shallow-hull water sports. The 2.8 litre VF150 engine not only achieves exceptional power outputs but delivers an incredibly efficient, clean and quiet performance that uses up to 40 per cent less fuel than traditional carburetted two-stroke engines. Their streamlined design conceals a 16-valve double-overhead cam, variable camshaft timing and electronic fuel injection, delivering the exhilarating hole shot and top speed of a two-stroke, with the efficient advantages of a four-stroke. For a low-weight and incredibly powerful all-round high-performance platform, look no further than the VF150.
